DESCRIPTION:Meet Information \nClosing date for entries Friday 20th September 7:30pm. \nAccepted Entries \nDraft Programme \nLive Results \nResults Session 1 \nResults Session 2 \nResults Session 3 \nResults Session 4 \nResults Session 5 \nWhat is skins?\nA skins event is an exciting series of back-to-back races which operate on a knockout basis\, with the two remaining swimmers racing each other in a head-to-head final race. Swimmers qualify for the skins event by placing in the top six for the 200IM in the following categories; \n\nBoys 12 and under\nGirls 12 and under\nBoys 13 and 14\nGirls 13 and 14\n\nStrokes are drawn out of a hat (usually in the form of coloured balls) and swimmers race 50 metres. The slowest swimmer is eliminated in each round. \nUsually\, two skins events are run at a time one or two minutes apart (alternating). The two events are usually different age groups. This gives swimmers very little rest and means it is a very fast and exciting event. \nIn the first round\, swimmers are started normally with whistles from the referee and “take your marks” from the starter before the start signal. In all other rounds\, swimmers are only given a ten second warning by the starter and then the start signal. Swimmers themselves must think carefully about how long they have on the blocks without false starting. \nPrizes are offered for winners.

DESCRIPTION:Schedule of Events \n\n\n\nThe Qualifying Window for the British Summer Championships and the Home Nation summer meets will open on Friday 22ndMarch 2019 and run through to Monday 27th May 2019. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe British Summer Championships and the three home nation summer meets continue to form part of the broader Performance Pathway Strategy aimed at supporting the UK’s junior swimming talent on their journey towards senior medal-winning international performances. \nEntry to these key end of season events is by invitation only\, from performances recorded in the designated Qualifying Window. The 24 top ranked swimmers in each event in each age grouping will be invited to attend the British Summer Championships\, except for the 800m and 1500m events where the top 18 will be invited. \nEntries will be accepted from competitors registered as members of a British Swimming home nation federation (Swim England\, Scottish Swimming or Swim Wales). \nIT IS IMPERATIVE IF YOU WANT TO COMPETE AT THE BRITISH SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIPS\, AND RECEIVE AN INVITE ON 2nd JUNE\,  THAT YOU CONFIRM YOUR ENTRIES BY 14th JUNE 2019.
