Coaches should not personally hold phone numbers and email addresses belonging to young members
Coaches can hold phone numbers and email addresses of member’s parents with their consent in order to get messages to parents. It is the responsibility of the parent to pass on the message
In limited circumstances, it may be necessary for Coaches / Teachers to have a child’s mobile number i.e. away at a gala with child. The Coach / Teacher must be DBS checked and the parent must be informed / consent to this.
Members aged 16-18, Coaches can communicate directly but best practice is always to copy in parents
